Product Details

The NukaTap G2 - FC (Flow Control) model represents the latest technology in flow control tap design. It offers all the benefits of a forward-sealing tap while allowing you to control the flow speed with a simple lever on the right-hand side. This makes balancing your beer lines effortless. This tap is ideal for those who frequently switch between different beer styles and need maximum flexibility in their draft system.

The NukaTap G2 - FC is also the first forward-sealing tap that can be used with a spring return. Previous designs, like the InterTap FC, couldn't incorporate a self-closing spring. The new patented NukaTap G2 FC design includes this highly desirable feature.

First Pour Foam Reduction:

The reduction in thermal mass significantly decreases the first pour foam effect. The tap, often the warmest part of the draft system due to its exposure outside the font, tower, or fridge, acts like a heat sink. It only functions optimally once sufficient cold beer flows through to cool it down. By reducing the thermal mass, this effect is minimized, resulting in significantly improved foam quality during the tap's cooling period.

Laminar Flow:

The NUKASHUTTLE design is the world’s first seamless shuttle. After extensive modeling and testing, this new "NUKE" shaped shuttle boasts the most fluid dynamic shape ever created for a forward-sealing tap. Its streamlined "nuke/missile" form inspired the name "NUKATAP." This advancement in laminar flow ensures that even highly carbonated beers pour smoothly with minimal turbulence, delivering the perfect pour every time.

Most Sanitary Design:

The NUKASHUTTLE is the world’s first seamless single-piece design. Traditional taps have a seal seated on a stainless-steel body, which can create small fissures that harbor solids, pose infection risks, and are less ideal for clean-in-place (CIP) processes. The NUKASHUTTLE, however, is made from an advanced TPV rubber matrix seamlessly formed over a durable PP skeleton. This single-piece design eliminates the traditional fissures found in older manufacturing methods, enhancing hygiene and maintenance.

Long Life Seals:

Unlike many other taps that use rubbers that can be degraded by caustic and acidic compounds, the NUKATAP is designed to withstand a wide range of conditions. With the growing popularity of dispensing sour beers, kombucha, and other acetic and lactic acid beverages, traditional sealing compounds can be compromised, leading to downtime, product loss, and increased maintenance intervals. The NUKATAP addresses these issues, making it the most chemically resistant tap we have ever manufactured.

In contrast to older tap styles with "metal on metal" rubbing components that wear over time and create a "raspy feel," the NUKATAP features a smooth gliding action that ensures the longevity of its components. The TPV rubber matrix shuttle is an extremely durable sealing mechanism, capable of withstanding significant leverage force from long tap handles that would typically degrade seals in other designs.

While other forward-sealing designs exist, none offer the same level of reliability. Many “perl” forward-sealing taps use a floating O-Ring design, which is sanitary but requires the O-Ring to move within the tap body to seal correctly. This movement can become problematic as the tap ages or if it is not regularly serviced. The NUKATAP overcomes this issue with its single-piece NUKASHUTTLE, providing a more reliable and durable sealing solution.

Tap Handle Angle - 2.5° Reverse Angle:

The new NUKATAPS have been manufactured with a 2.5° reverse angle. This design accommodates a wider range of tap handles, including long and heavy ones, ensuring they work perfectly regardless of the installation conditions.

Auto Close Spring Available

The NukaTap FC is the world’s first forward-sealing tap with an auto close spring. When you install the spring (sold separately), you can let go of the tap handle, and it will automatically close. This feature is especially useful if you have kids or pets that might accidentally knock the tap, preventing the loss of an entire keg and a bottle of gas.

Forward Sealing Design

Just like the InterTap and its predecessors, the NUKATAP shuts off the flow at the front of the tap, preventing wild yeast and bacteria from entering the interior of the tap body. Ensure your beer quality remains high by choosing the all-new NUKATAP.

What does Rear Sealing Design Mean?

Typically, most beer taps use a rear sealing design where the beer in the tap drains from the body of the tap with the assistance of a vent hole drilled at the front. However, this drainage hole creates a dark, wet cavity that serves as an ideal environment for airborne bacteria and wild yeast to reproduce, resulting in a foul film that degrades the quality of your beer. Each time the faucet is opened, contamination can occur.
